3M™ Cold Shrink Insulators are open-ended, tubular, EPDM rubber sleeves which are factory expanded and assembled onto a removable core. The core is removed after the tube has been positioned for installation over an inline connection, terminal lug, etc., allowing the tube to shrink and form a water-resistant seal. Features: Specially designed for primary insulation of solid dielectric insulated wires and cable splicing rated to 1000 volts; Simple installation which requires no tools; Sealing of terminal lug barrels, conduit couplings and conduit-to-cable breakouts; Made of EPDM rubber which contains no chlorides or sulfur; Covers a wide range of cable cross sections; Withstands temperatures of -40 to 90 degC (-40 to 194 degF)
