The XS range is an offer of inductive proximity sensors for the detection of metal objects up to 60mm without physical contact. The oscillator produces an alternating electromagnetic field that exits the detection area of the sensor. Any metallic object penetrating this field is then detected. This threaded cylindrical (M8) inductive proximity sensor is designed for harsh environments. It is made of stainless steel 303 and it is flush mountable. Its nominal sensing distance is 3mm, it supports 1 normally open PNP discrete output and it has a switching frequency of 1000Hz. It works in a temperature range of -25.C and +70.C, it is dustproof, waterproof (IP67), and withstands high pressure and steam cleaning (IP69K). It is made of stainless steel 303.
