For Contractors: Illinois Solar Certification

One of the following requirements below must be completed to submit for Solar Certification (5 installations are no longer required):

Apprenticeship as a journeyman electrician from a DOL registered electrical apprenticeship and training program.
An Electronics Technicians Association distributed generation technology certification program.
An Associate in Applied Science degree from an Illinois Community College Board approved community college program.

** The bold options are the fastest path forward, aside from already being a journeyman.
